What we set

One cookie to keep you signed in, one that protects forms against forgery, one that remembers the language you chose, and a few short-lived ones while you sign in. A part-finished response is not kept in a cookie: a respondent carries on from a link of their own.

What we do not set

Nothing for advertising, and nothing that follows anybody between sites. There is no third-party analytics script on these pages.

Surveys you send

A respondent answering your survey gets the forgery cookie described above and nothing that identifies them. If your survey is set to allow only one response per device, the limit is judged from the IP address and browser rather than a cookie, which is why it cannot apply to an anonymous collector.

Turning them off

The sign-in cookie is what signing in means; refusing it means not being able to sign in, and forms need the forgery cookie to submit. The language cookie can be cleared at any time, at the cost of choosing your language again.
